Great News For Honest Taxpayers

Honest & Consistent Tax Payers needn't have to feel that they weren't getting dew recognition for abiding by the rules and law of the land. Central Government is working on a policy to offer priority to such people in many ways.
A Committee under the Central Board of Direct Taxes is working on the parameters for extending certain benefits to the Honest & Consistent Tax Payers. Finance Ministry will send the policy to the PMO before the approval of the Union Cabinet.
As per the proposed policy, Honest Tax Payers will get priority when it comes to public services at airports, railway stations and toll gates on highways. Those who pay the taxes on time will be honoured publicly. In addition, Honest Tax Payers will be allotted an Unique Identity Number or their PAN could be flagged as special.
New Policy could be implemented by the end of 2018. As many as 8 crore tax payers are in the country as of now. The target is to increased the count to 9.25 crore by the end of 2018-19 financial year.
