Outgoing Vice President Hamid Ansari expressed concern over the insecurity among Dalits, Muslims and Christians while speaking at the annual convocation of the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru. This remark didn't go down well will BJP & its Supporters. While bidding farewell to him, Prime Minister told Hamid Ansari is now free to think, work and speak according to his core beliefs.
Hamid Ansari faced backlash from social media for the controversial statement he made just before the end of his 10 years term. He was trolled with the hashtag #AnsariJihad. Some People opined Ansari is qualified to be in race for Pakistan President Post after serving as Vice President for a decade. Whereas, Few others opined Ansari served Congress party though he was offered the post by Indians.
BJP MP Paresh Rawal mocked Hamid Ansari with a 'Get Well Soon' message. Several other Leaders opined Ansari shouldn't have made such a remark at this point of time.
