Harish Rao Turns Philosophical, Says No Need For Power

However hard he might try, but Harish Rao's frustration is showing. He appears exasperated at being denied a seat in the KCR cabinet. So dejected is he that even at the retirement function of Medak ZP chairperson Rajamani, he turned philosophical and contemplative and said there is no need for a post in life to serve the people. He said one can serve the people even without a post. He then added that there is no retirement in politics.

Harish Rao, part of the KCR family and a party activist since its inception, has been left out in the Cabinet formation by KCR. Also his wings were clipped when he was made in-charge of electioneering only in Medak district. Even the monitoring of CM's constituency of Gajwel was taken away from him and was given to Vanteru Pratap Reddy, who joined TRS after standing against KCR in the assembly elections. Harish Rao's importance has been curbed and the leadership has sent enough signals that he is out of favour these days.

At the farewell meeting, he also waxed eloquent about the work he has done. He went philosophical and said that the people will remember a leader by the work he has done for the people while he was in power. He was indirectly referring to the work he has done as the irrigation minister during the last government. Interestingly, Harish is almost isolated in the party and not many leaders seem to have the courage to meet him openly or even privately lest they get targeted by KTR and KCR.
