South Africa created history by chasing down a mammoth target of 434 against Australia in a ODI held at Johannesburg on March 12th, 2006.

Proteas opener Herschelle Gibbs played a match-winning 175 runs. Actually, This destructive batsman was suffering from hangover on the match day as he got fully drunk at a party which happened the previous night.

In his autobiography, Gibbs confessing drinking till 1 AM along with one of his friends and had a terrible hangover by the time he came out to bat.

Still, The South African slammed 7 sixes and 21 fours to help his Team cross the line. What matters the most is how much he contributed for the victory! This chase of 434 has become the highest successful chase ever in the history and remains unaffected even after a decade.
