Courts Arent Advisors To Govt: HC On Jagan Case
X
Hyderabad High Court expressed its dissatisfaction over the report submitted by Centre regarding the attack on YCP Chief Jaganmohan Reddy at Visakha Airport on October 25th.

In the previous hearing, High Court asked the Union Government to clarify whether or not the murder attempt on Jagan in airport comes under the scheduled offence as per National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act. However, Centre sent a report without offering any clarification to the query of the HC Bench. While expressing anguish over the inappropriate report, High Court made it clear Centre itself has to take a decision on this matter and Courts aren't advisors to the Government. An order has been passed to the Government to inform about its decision in a sealed cover.

Centre seems to have deliberately refrained from taking a firm stand on NIA Probe for Jagan's attack case. Had if it takes up Jagan's case, All the incidents happening in Airports across the Country will be referred to NIA. If High Court itself takes the decision, Then It's more like passing statement that NIA will accept only those cases referred by the Courts. However, High Court didn't entertain the trick played by Centre here and sought a clarification by the time of next hearing.
