Shocking Blow To TDP In Hindupur

Former Hindupur MLA Abdul Ghani tendered his resignation to Telugu Desam Party. In the letter sent to Chandrababu Naidu, He claimed to have taken this decision due to personal reasons. Much to the shock of TDP Leadership, Abdul Ghani joined YSR Congress soon after sending his resignation letter.
Abdul Ghani has been loyal to TDP since it was floated by NTR in the early 80s. He became an MLA with the blessing of NT Rama Rao. He, however, had to give up his seat when Balakrishna preferred this constituency, where TDP never faced defeat, in 2014. YSR Congress Party is mulling to field Abdul Ghani as its candidate in Hindupur.
Doubts have been raised over the possibility of Balakrishna contesting from Hindupur in 2019. TDP Chief wants to offer Kuppam Ticket for his Son Nara Lokesh and he himself is likely to move to Kalyana Durgam in Anantapur. If that happens, Balayya might be asked to prefer contesting from Krishna or Guntur District. Then, Who will be the TDP Candidate for Hindupur?
