How could Sasikala pay Rs 130 crore FINE?

Supreme Court upheld the verdict of the Trail Court in the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate assets case of former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa. Quantum of punishment is 4 years jail term for each of the four convicts. A hefty fine of Rs 100 crore has been imposed on Jayalalithaa and Rs 10 crore each on A2 (Sasikala), A3 (Ilavarasi) and A4 (Sudhakaran).

As Jayalalithaa is no more alive, Court direct Government to identify the assets owned by the former CM and raise Rs 100 crore through their auction. Whereas, Sasikala, Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran had to spend 13 months months in jail if they fail to pay Rs 10 crore fine.

Jayalalithaa mentioned in her election affidavit that she owns Rs 117 crore of properties. If the version reported by English daily 'The Telegraph' is to be believe, VK Sasikala Natarajan and her Family Members will inherit the Rs 113 crore of assets owned by the Former CM. As per the Will written by Amma, Poes Garden residence Veda Nilayam worth Rs 43 crore will belong to Sasikala. Even Kodanad Estate in Nilagiri, Jaya Publications, Sasi Enterprises and few other assets were offered for Chinnamma.

The grapes farm in Hyderabad has been offered to Vivek Jayaraman (S/O Sasikala's Brother Jayaraman & Sister-in-Law Ilavarasi). Jaya also owns 3.43 acres of land in Kanchipuram, Two Toyota Prados, Tempo Traveller, Tempo Trax, Mahindra Bolero, Swaraj Mazda Max, Contessa, Mahindra Zeep and Ambassador Car. Can't Sasikala pay Rs 130 crore with these assets in her hand? Of course, The Government of Tamil Nadu is in her hand at the moment and this amount isn't a big deal at all.
