Pawan Kalyan wished to establish Jana Sena Head Office in Mangalagiri. Even a piece of land (3.42 acres in Survey No. 182/1) in Chinakakani was obtained on lease from Communist leader Yarlagadda Subba Rao.
Much to the shock of Jana Sena Leadership, Sheikh Shafi's Family claimed they are the real owners of the land. They informed Guntur Court offered a favorable judgement to them but Subba Rao moved High Court, after which a Status Quo was issued. The Muslim Family appealed Pawan Kalyan not to construct his party office in a disputed land.
As the news went viral, Pawan Kalyan issued a paper statement on this matter. 'The allegations made by Anjuman Islamic Committee Members against the land Jana Sena obtained on lease in Chinakakani has come to my notice. We have officially announced details about the land through newspaper. Muslim Leaders should have raised objection then itself. At least, They should have brought this to my notice when I was in Vijayawada on December 8th and 9th. I have immense respect on the Judiciary. I don't even think about indulging in anything which could be termed as 'adharma'. This issue is being raised all of a sudden in the presence of a politician. Jana Sena have the strength to fight if this is a political conspiracy. We have obtained this land on lease for just 3-and-a-half years. That itself clarifies Jana Sena doesn't have any hidden intentions. Very soon, Jana Sena representatives will reach Chinakakani along with Legal Experts. Offer your documents to them. If it's proven that land belongs to you, Then Jana Sena will cancel the lease without any delay. Jai Hind!,' he assures.
