Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao delivered a superb speech at the annual event of Tech Mahindra.

When quizzed how could be Hyderabad 10 years from now, KTR replied: 'Cities can't be built in a day..in fact Rome wasn't built in a day. Hyderabad has evolved over a period of last 400 years. Quli Qutub Shah laid foundation for this city. He prayed for abadi of this city. Now, He will be happy wherever he might be as that dream was fulfilled. We are relatively better than any other metro city in India in terms of infrastructure, why because we are offering the infrastructure at half of the cost when compared to Bengaluru or Chennai. I will trash every city in the world, except Hyderabad. That's my job!,' he said.

KTR made it clear it's important to get the basics right to deliver results. 'When our Government was formed, We were a power deficit state. Today, We are the first state in the country to offer 24*7 power supply to farmers. We will ensure there isn't even a single second of power destruction. Second thing is..Water Supply. When I took charge as Minister, I had to sanction money from IT Department for providing drinking water for Kondapur and Madhapur. By the end of next Summer, We would satiate the requirement for Hyderabad. We are working on establishing two dedicated drinking water reservoirs each with 10 tmc of capacity in Hyderabad to meet the demand in case if there is a drought,' he informed.

When KTR said he heard from many people visiting Hyd that this city is cleaner than many other cities, The Person sitting next to the Minister joked, 'I can only tell people say Ivanka Trump should visit you more often'. Then, KTR said: 'Why not..she liked Hyderabadi Biryani'.

KTR admits there is a lot that need to be done when it comes to roads in Hyderabad. He, however, claims good progress has been achieved so far and assures Hyderabad gonna change completely in the next 5-7 years.
