India is now 3rd Largest Aviation Market

India is now officially the third largest aviation market in the World in terms of domestic passenger traffic.
In 2016, India's Domestic Air Passenger Traffic touched 100 million mark. It is currently only behind USA (719 Million) and China (436 Million). India replaced Japan (77 Million) in the 3rd Spot. These detailed were mentioned in the report of Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA).
A growth of 20-25 was seen throughout 2015 and 2016. In January, A peak growth of 25.13% was recorded.
In terms of overall Air Traffic (Domestic and International), India is sharing the 4th Position with UK at present. The Tri-Color Nation will attain the 3rd Spot by March 2018.
