Team India won after 22 Years

Team India recorded a memorable victory Today by defeating Sri Lanka by a margin of 117 runs in the 3rd and final Test Match to claim the series as well. In fact, This is the first series win for India in Sri Lanka after 22 years.
India set a target of 386 runs for Sri Lanka to chase in the Fourth Innings. After starting the 5th Day of the match with 67 for 3 wickets, Sri Lankans were all out for 268 runs even though skipper Mathews scored a century (110 runs). While Ashwin claimed 4 wickets, Ishant grabbed 3 wickets in the Second Innings of Sri Lankan innings. Umesh Yadav and Mishra settled with 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
While Cheteshwar Pujara was adjudged as Man Of The Match for his terrific century in first innings, Ravichandran Ashwin was declared as Man Of The Series for claiming over 20 wickets in three tests. This marks newly appointed Skipper Virat Kohli's first Test series win and the only series claimed by Team Indian from 2011. Hence, The whole team, management and support staff were elated with the victory.
