Indian Beauty wins Miss World 2017

Manushi Chhillar who represented India at the Miss World 2017 beauty pageant won the coveted title. Puerto Rico's Stephanie Del Valle, Winner of last year's title, has passed on her crown to the Indian. The last time an Indian bagged Miss World title was in the year 2000 by Priyanka Chopra.

The 20-Year-Old Manushi Chhillar is from Haryana & she was a medical student. In the Question & Answer round, She was asked which profession deserves the highest salary and why. Then, She replied, 'It wasn't a question about a person's salary. A Mother is worthy of the highest respect'.

Asked if she would use the title as a stepping stone to be in Bollywood alike Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra, Ms Chillar said Miss India is a stepping stone for not just Bollywood but for anything. She made this comment before winning Miss World title.

As many as 108 Beauties from across the World competed for the Miss World 2017 title. Stephanie Hill (Miss England) and Andrea Meza (Miss Mexico) are chosen as the first & second runner-ups respectively.
