Indian IT Major and the biggest outsourcer in India TCS has declared 100% variable pay to all the employees on its India payroll for the Q3 that ended with December 2017. The variable pay usually depends on the several aspects like.. the performance of the individuals.. performance of the particular business unit and the main aspect being the profitability of the whole company. It is rare that all the employees of the company get 100% variable for a financial quarter.
TCS has announced 100% variable pay as the company has posted a Q3 net profit of Rs. 6,531 crores. TCS Global Head of HR revealed that the employees who are on the payroll outside India will not be eligible for this as their variable pay cycle is annual.
It is really a huge surprise to the all the TCS employees because of the conditions prevailing in the IT sector like layoffs and tightened rules on work visas. Ever since TCS surprised its employees with the announcement, the employees of other major IT companies are expecting similar offers.
