Prakash Raj who contested from Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha Constituency in 2019 Elections faced defeat. While Congress fielded Rizwan Arshad in Bengaluru Central, BJP preferred PC Mohan to contest from this constituency.
BJP Candidate PC Mohan won Bengaluru Central Seat. Prakash Raj could only bag around 12,000 votes which accounts for 2.27% of votes polled in the constituency.
The Acclaimed Actor described his defeat as a solid slap on his face because he is about to face more abuse, trolls and humiliation. He, however, maintains: 'I will stand my ground. My resolve to fight for Secular India will continue. A tough journey ahead has just begun'.
Prakash Raj thanked all those who supported him during his political journey. More than his defect, The manner in which BJP retained power would hurt him badly. He mayn't become normal anytime soon after receiving such a huge shock.
