CM Jaganmohan Reddy issued orders to probe into several agreements signed by the TDP Government from 2014 to 2019.
During the review meeting of energy department performance in Tadepalli Camp Office, YS Jagan made his intentions clear that none of the corrupt practices of the previous government will be tolerated. He informed about his plans to probe anywhere around 30 deals signed by the TDP Government in the past five years.
Jagan: 'A Cabinet Sub-Committee will be constituted to probe the corrupt practices of the TDP Government. ACB, CID, ED and Vigilance will be involved in the investigation'.
Yuva Neta wondered why TDP Government purchased power at high prices from various power producers. He identified that excess payments results in a loss of Rs 2,636 crore to the state exchequer. Jagan constituted a panel to re-negotiate with the solar and wind power producing firms. He cautioned that power-purchase agreements signed by TDP Govt will be cancelled and fresh bids will be called if companies doesn't reduce the cost of power.
