MLC Elections are scheduled to take place in March this year. According to its strength in Assembly, YSR Congress will be receiving only one MLC Seat. There is huge competition between former Ministers & Jagan Loyalists for this single post.
Dharmana Prasad Rao (Srikakulam), K Parthasaradhi (Krishna), Vasireddy Padma (Krishna), Ambati Rambabu (Guntur), Bhumana Karunakar Reddy (Chittoor), Balineni Srinivas Rao and few others have been in race.
Jagan promised MLC Seat to Balineni Srinivas Rao and Vasireddy Padma in the past. Balineni is a relative of YSR Family. Jagan promised to make him an MLC to stop him from joining the ruling party. Whereas, Vasireddy Padma didn't receive her due for sincerely working for the party. Being a woman could be an advantage for her. On the other hand, Caste factors might influence Jagan in the case of Dharmana, Bhumana and Ambati. So, Only Jagan knows who will be that one lucky person!
