Jagans Ultimatum To Corrupt MLAs

Since he became CM, YS Jaganmohan Reddy kept stressing that he won't tolerate corrupt practices even if his partymen are involved in such wrongdoings. This is the only way forward to get rid of the 'corrupt' image fetched by quid-pro-quo cases.

During the Collectors Conference at Praja Vedika on Monday, Jagan made it clear YCP Government won't be shielding any MLA who is involved in irregularities. 'Anybody who resorts to corruption won't be tolerated at any cost irrespective of his or her position. Collectors needn't have to clear any file moved by an MLA if it leads to corruption. At the same time, MLAs need to be taken into confidence while implementing a government programme,' he ordered.

Is it really possible to restrict the MLAs from indulging in corruption after spending several crores to emerge victorious in the elections? At least, The stern warning issued by the Chief Minister will ensure Legislators stay in their limits while dealing with matters that affect the public directly. If Jagan succeeds in preventing the MLAs from amassing illegal wealth at least to a significant extent, Nothing could stop YCP from retaining power in 2024.
