Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to create another record. If the media reports are to be believed, TRS Government is going to present Rs 2 lakh crore budget in the upcoming budget session.

Finance Ministry and Head of the Departments have begun the exercise to finalize the proposals to be included in Budget 2018. Usually, Around 15 percent increase can be observed when budget was presented every year. After forming the Government, KCR discontinued the schemes implemented by Congress and introduced new ones. Irrespective of the allocations, Most of the funds have been diverted to Irrigation Projects and Mission Bhagiratha in the past four years. Since few months, State Government has been facing cash crush and even pensions were offered once in few months. Contractors have been threatening to stop the works if funds weren't released. Except for salaries of employees and pensions, Several promises weren't fulfilled perfectly. Fee Reimbursement dues & compensation for land acquisition hasn't been settled so far. There is criticism on TRS Government that employment creation has been neglected. KCR is likely to address such short-comings with the budget introduced in the Election Year.

Reportedly, Chief Minister is keen to spend Rs 90000 crore for Welfare Programmes alone. Chances of allotting Rs 25000 crore for Mission Bhagiratha & Panchayat Raj, Rs 30000 crore for Irrigation Projects and Rs 25000 crore for Agriculture Sector look bright. This time, TRS Government is likely to introduce 'Women's Budget' to end the criticism that there is no representation of women in the cabinet. In addition, Youth and Unemployed will be given importance in the budget.
