During the Telangana Movement, K Chandrasekhar Rao had announced that he wouldn't mind merging TRS with Congress if the national party fulfills the dream of four crore people. Why didn't the TRS Supremo keep his promise after the Telangana Bill was passed in the Parliament?
KCR disclosed a Top Secret while interacting with mediapersons after getting elected as TRS Floor Leader. When a journalist quizzed him why didn't he merge TRS with Congress after Telangana Formation, KCR replied: 'When I met Sonia Gandhi to thank her after the formation of state, I had moved the proposal of appointing Me as Telangana PCC President. She, however, didn't react positively and hence I preferred not to merge my party'.
Why would KCR allow somebody to rule Telangana State which was achieved by him with relentless fight for about 13 years? Surely, Telangana Congress wouldn't have been in such dire situation Today had if Sonia Gandhi accepted the proposal moved by KCR in 2014. The National Party ended up gaining nothing even after making a huge sacrifice for Telangana formation.
