Why Samantha was roped? KTR Explains!

Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao signed Samantha as the brand ambassador of Handlooms. Opposition Parties have criticized State Government for picking up a Chennai-Born instead of Telangana-Born Lady for promoting handlooms in the state.
During the launch of 'Nethannaku Cheyutha' scheme at Pochampally, KTR explained why he took such a decision: 'Handlooms Industry will survive only if the changes in Fashion Designing have been adopted well. Hence, We had roped Samantha who have good understand about the changing trends in the fashion world as the brand ambassador'.
On this occasion, KTR claimed to be offering Pochampally Clothes to dignitaries whenever he visits foreign countries. 'Whether it's USA or Japan, I will greet the people with Pochampally Shawals. I would even explain to them about the gifted quality of our handloom weavers,' he told.
