Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao invited PM Narendra Modi for the inauguration of Hyderabad Metro Rail on November 28th this year. However, The Prime Minister's Office is yet to confirm Modi's participation in the inauguration.

TRS Government is hopeful of Narendra Modi's presence at the launch of the prestigious project as PM will be in Hyderabad from November 28th to 30th for Global Entrepreneurship Summit. IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao opined Hyderabad Metro Rail is the world's largest project in Private Public Partnership (PPP) mode. He gave the credit for successfully completing it to L&T.

KTR announced Hyd Metro Rail is going set a new record on the inauguration day itself. While largest inaugural stretch of Metro Rail in India was just 11 km, Hyd Metro Rail will start its operations with a 30 km stretch.

The Minister explained why the inauguration of the project has been delayed. '8-km stretch between Nagole and Mettuguda & 12-km stretch between Miyapur and SR Nagar were completed last year itself. Without end to end connectively, Metro Rail would have been a failure. So, We waited till the completion of entire 30-km stretch from Nagole to Miyapur,' he explained.
