All the candidates of Telangana Jana Samithi faced defeat in the Assembly Polls 2018. This is a disastrous start for Prof.Kodandaram-led Political Party. Despite having the support of allies, TJS Candidates failed to offer stiff competition to opponents in any of the Assembly Segments.
TJS fielded Dileep Kumar in Malkajgiri, Bhavani Reddy in Siddipet, Devaiah in Vardannapeta and Nizzan Ramesh in Amberpet. In five other constituencies, Both TJS and Congress Candidates have been in race. TJS fielded Raj Kumar in Dubbaka, Gade Ainaiah in Warangal East, Asifabad in Aathramsakku, Vidyadar Reddy in Miryalguda and Rajendar Reddy in Mahabubnagar.
Prof Kodandaram has to introspect what went wrong after failing to win at least a single seat. The credibility of TJS has been lost after it formed alliance with TDP and Congress. It might have showed impact in at least few segments had if Prof Kodandaram didn't make such a blunder. Survival will be really tough for Prof. Kodandaram and TJS in the next five years.
