Durga Ashtami is the biggest festival celebrated in West Bengal. It's a delight to watch how Bengalis perform the pooja ceremony. Bengali Actresses-cum-Trinamool Congress MPs Nusrat Jahan and Mimi Chakraborty danced for the theme song of Durga Pooja for a TMT Bar Company.
This Song named as 'Ashey Maa Durga Shey - Pujo Song' also features another leading Bengali Actress Subashree Ganguly. Its been composed by Indraadip Das Gupta. Playback Singers from India and Bangladesh crooned the song. Choreography was done by Baba Yadav include Bengali's tribal art form Chhau which originated in the Purulia District.
Durga Pooja Theme Song is an attempt to promote the TMT brand during the 6-days Durga Ashtami falling on October 3rd to 8th. The plan worked because two of the Glamorous Parliamentarians featured in the song. On the official YouTube Channel to Capital TMT Steel, It managed to cross over 1 million mark within few days. This is a huge achievement considering the fact that it's a promotional song based on Dussehra festival.
