Losing Cong MLAs Want To Fight For Lok Sabha Now
X
After the stunning reversal in the Assembly elections, the defeated Congress leaders of Telangana have now set their eyes on Lok Sabha. Now, one after another leader is now talking of contesting for the Lok Sabha. Defeated Congress leader from Nalgonda Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has begun this trend and now other other seniors are joining the bandwagon. But, the biggest question is - can those who cannot win a single assembly seat win the Lok Sabha seat, which comprises six to eight assembly constituencies.

Former MP Renuka Chowdary is now eyeing Khammam MP seat. Khammam is the only district where the Congress Party did well. So, she is planning to contest from Khammam. Even former MP Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy is planning to contest form Khammam. Similarly, Gadwal's DK Aruna too is planning to contest from Mahabubnagar. But she has competition from both Revanth Reddy and Jaipal Reddy. Both the reddys feel they can win the seat. In case they cannot get Mahbubnagar, they want Malkajgiri as the constituency has a huge population of Reddys. Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who lost from Janagam, is trying for Bhongir Lok Sabha seat.

Never say die, these Congress leaders seem to say.
