Soon after the House took up the Delhi High Court (Amendment) Bill in the afternoon, Opposition Parties raised slogans and displayed placards demanding the resignation of foreign affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and Two BJP Chief Ministers in connection with Lalit Modi issue & Vyapam scam.

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury who represents Berhampore Lok Sabha segment in West Bengal banged a placard while he was trying to reach the Speaker's desk by crossing the well of the House. This made Lok Sabha speaker Sumithra Mahajan angry and the house was adjourned for an hour immediately.

Soon after the Lok Sabha re-assembled, Opposition Parties tried to downplay the incident. While Congress Party conveyed it has no intention to insult anyone, CPM and Trinamool Congress asked the Speaker to spare the Congress Member.
