Such things are happening everywhere, even in Hyderabad. These people were nabbed in USA on charges of blackmailing and human trafficking. Not only Women, Men also getting trapped. Media keeps focussing only on Actresses, but even men are involved. Victims were trapped by snatching their passports and harassing their families,' she said
When quizzed if TFI is unaware of such sex rackets, Madhavi Latha shot back: 'How can Industry be held responsible? Any coordinator or event manager from across the World might contact any actress and invite her for shows'.
Madhavi Latha informed Film Celebs will be trapped when people from all the crafts visit a foreign country for events. She said, 'Event Coordinators would set the trap based on the mindsets of celebs. Actresses who offer commitment will receive good remunerations'.
The Actress questioned, 'Why would any Actress defame herself by lodging a police complaint when such things happen? Will our Cops ensure justice? What would happen to them if media highlights such things? Will the society comes in support of victims? If a victim files a case, There is every possibility of projecting her as a culprit. Society is like that! This is why Actresses are hesitant to lodge cases'.
