Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao was gunned down by Maoists on Sunday afternoon. He was survived by his Wife and Two Sons.
The Assassination happened under the leadership of Maoist Top Leader Ramakrishna. Maoists stopped the vehicle of the MLA and took him into custody. They held talks with the Legislator for an hour on Bauxite Mining and Guda Quarry which he owns. Though they offered to resolve the issues through dialogue, Maoists fired three-rounds of bullets into the bodies of MLA and Ex-MLA from point blank range. 40 out of 60 Maoists who took part in the attack are Women.
Reportedly, Quarry dispute led to the assassination of MLA Kidari. Maoists warned Kidari to close his Guda quarry as it poses a threat to the environment. Even locals have been opposing this quarry but the Legislator wasn't ready to pay heed. With a clear plan, Maoists surrounded the MLA when he was on his way to the quarry with less security and killed him.
MLA's Son Nani who is studying in Delhi expressed shock over the murder of his Father. 'As per my knowledge, We haven't received any threats from Maoists. I don't know why Naxals killed My Father,' said a teary-eyed Nani.
CM Chandrababu Naidu who is in America expressed condolences to the families of MLA Kidari and Ex-MLA Somu. He told MLA and Former MLA has done so much for Agency Area development and Welfare of the Tribals.

High Alert has been announced in both Telugu States after the murder of MLA and Ex-MLA in Visakha. Police Protection might be increased for Lawmakers who are in the hit list of naxals.
