Pregnant Heroine Dies As Ambulance Arrives Late

Delay in the arrival of ambulance caused the death of popular Marathi actress Puja Zunjar, who suffered delivery pains. 25-year-old Puja, who was in the advanced stage of pregnancy, suffered acute delivery pains at about 2 am and had to be rushed to a primary health centre in Goregaon. But, the doctors, who examined her found that there were several birth-related complications and advised that she be immediately shifted to Hingoli town.
Unfortunately, ambulance was not available and her relatives had to wait for an hour for the ambulance to reach the PHC. By the time they got the ambulance and began rushing her to the hospital, Puja died. To add to the tragedy, the infant too died along with the mother. The twin tragedies have left the relatives of the actress shell shocked.
