Who Will Get Mayor Post?

The ruling TRS won the GHMC elections by convincingly capturing over 100 divisions. With the landslide victory TRS can comfortably sit on the prestigious Mayor and Deputy Mayor seats without having support of others. As the victory was confirmed now focus has been shifted to Mayor and Dy Mayor posts. Till now TRS has not announced anyone for the coveted post.
As per reports from TRS sources now it is coming out that competition is between Bontu Rammohan and Vijayalaxmi for the prestigious chair. Ram Mohan won from Charlapalli division and he was one of the key leader for TRS in twin cities. Other side Vijayalakshmi is daughter of senior leader and party secretary K Keshava Rao who shifted from congress to TRS just before elections.
Mayor and Deputy Mayors will be elected by the corporates and ex-officio members that include MPs, MLAs and MLCs on February 11.This time the mayor post is reserved for BCs while deputy mayor is open.
