Telugu Media has been giving extensive coverage to the Drug Scandal in Hyderabad since the past few weeks. Media Houses have been making the most out of the situation ever since Excise Enforcement Department shifted focus to Tollywood from Educational Institutions. They have plenty of work to do from July 19th to August 2nd & attaining the best TRP Ratings seems to be their sole aim.
On Wednesday, Puri Jagannath attended the interrogation to be carried out by Excise Enforcement Officials. So far, Neither Puri nor SIT has disclosed anything to the media. However, Media began reporting that the Filmmaker is an Accused in the case.
Media Houses have been offering live coverage to the drug racket issue. Even Opinions of Puri's Fans waiting outside the Excise Office have been sought. Countless Discussions have been held in TV Studios on this issue. Look how desperate Media has been for TRPs. Will they report a news related to a Common Man in a similar manner?
Imagine the hungama if popular actors like Raviteja and Charmee appear before SIT for questioning? More than the end result, Film Personalities are worried about the speculative reports in the media. It's time for Journalists to maintain some restraint & wait until the truth is out before passing judgements.
