Photographs of Meghan Markle wearing a saree and a bindi during her January 2017 visit to India surfaced online now. The Duchess Of Sussex came to India for the charity work of World Vision.
In a footage released by British Mediahouse ITV, Meghan Markle visited a school in India for creating awareness about better sanitation facilities for girls. She was found in a saree, interacting with girls and watching a dance performance.
Meghan Markle told, 'I came to know that enrollment to the school increased thrice after building toilets and maintaining hygiene. Traveled to Delhi and Mumbai to meet girls and women to know how stigmatisation of menstrual health affects education. I saw women in Mumbai Slums manufacture sanitary napkins and sell them within the community'.
