Hyd Metro MD Clarifies On Broken Pillar Photo

As we all know social media has become part and parcel of our lives. One can't rule out the impact of social media on our day to day lives. But every coin will have two sides and social media is no different. When the people of Hyderabad are feeling happy about the recently inaugurated Metro, a social media post which consists of a broken pillar has scared many Hyderabadis.
Netizens started sharing the broken pillar pic out of panic. It is actually an old photograph which had been surfaced during the inauguration of Delhi Metro and Bengaluru Metro as well. It was just a rumour. The same photograph surfaced on the social media again scaring the Metro passengers of Hyderabad. Metro MD NVS Reddy has spoken about the social media post. He said that it is a rumour being spread by some negative people who are unhappy with the world-class Metro.
He clarified that the picture of a broken pillar was actually taken in Peshawar, Pakistan long back and it has nothing to do with Hyderabad Metro. Assuring the safety, Mr. Reddy said that the Metro pillars are very strong that they can withstand tonnes of weight and earthquakes.
