They stopped their car near a government school in Kamalnagar Police Station limits. Mohd Salaam offered chocolates to school children in the area. Villagers who had seen it assumed they could be child kidnapers. After an argument, Friends tried to flee from the spot. Few people chased them in two-wheelers and sent WhatsApp messages to alert people of neighboring villagers. In the process of escaping, The car stopped after it hit a bike near a culvert.
Villagers pulled the four youth out of the car and thrashed them so badly. While Mohd Azam died on spot, Police shifted three others to the nearby hospital. One of them is battling for life.
Family of Mohd Azam demanded stringent action against every person involved in the mob attack. The Techie is survived by his wife and two-year-old son.
