Narendra Modi launched Monthly Radio Address 'Mann Ki Baat' soon after becoming Prime Minister of India. PM's radio address which begun on October 3rd in 2014 fetched a revenue of around Rs 10 crore for All India Radio (AIR) in the past two years.

While a revenue of Rs 4.78 crore was earned in Financial Year 2015-16, About Rs 5.19 crore has been generated in Financial Year 2016-17. I&B Minister (MoS) Rajyavardhan Rathore informed these details to Lok Sabha in reply to a query.

After the completion of Modi's Radio Address, Regional Version of it is being broadcasted in 18 languages and 33 dialects on the same day. Even English & Sanskrit Versions have been broadcast. Domestic Audience could listen to 'Mann Ki Baat' using Transmitters. Whereas, Global Audience should use Internet or Shortwave Transmitters for it.

Modi's Monthly Pay is around Rs 1.60 lakh. But, PM is helping All India Radio earn Rs 40 lakh per month with his speeches alone. Craze for NaMo is working big time for AIR!
