Actor Mohan Babu visited Tirumala for the divine blessings of Lord Venkateswara Swamy on the eve of Mukkoti Ekadasi. He, however, expressed his displeasure when TTD Officials refused to allow him to have the kind of darshan he wishes to have.
Mohan Babu: 'Organisation in Tirumala isn't the same as it used to be during NTR's regime. I can't name the people responsible for it. Rules keep on changing every now and then. Whenever a new officer takes charge, He would implement the rules of his choice. But, none of them were for the sake of devotees. Mostly, Only rich people will be able to have proper darshan in Tirumala. Today, I'm upset as I wasn't allowed to touch 'Dwajastambam' before the darshan citing heavy rush. At the same time, Few VVIPs were allowed to do so. Does Constitution permit TTD to treat VVIPs & Common Man differently? Officials are behaving as per their wish without bothering about a particular procedure'.
Actually, Devotees have been heaping praises on TTD for improved facilities and hassle-free darshan in the recent past. Mohan Babu's comments might have shocked the TTD Officials.
