Ambani Tops Rich List 7th Time In A Row

Reliance Industries Ltd Chairman Mukesh Ambani topped the 'Barclays Hurun India Rich List-2018' for seventh consecutive year. Net Worth of Mr.Ambani is estimated to be Rs 371,000 crore.
SP Hinduja & Family of Hinduja Group attains Second Position with an estimated wealth of Rs 159,000 crore. LN Mittal & Family of Arcelor Mittal stood at third spot with Rs 114,500 crore. Azim Premji (Rs 96,100 crore) of Wipro and Dilip Shanghvi (Rs 89,700 crore) of Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd feature in the Top 5.
Uday Kotak (Rs 78,000 crore) of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Cyrus Poonawalla (Rs 73,000 crore) of Serum Institute of India, Gautam Adani & Family (Rs 71,200 crore) of Adani Group and Cyrus P Mistry (Rs 69,000 crore) of Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry are at 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th positions respectively.
Super Rich Indians with a net worth of Rs 1,000 crore or more increased to 831 in 2018 as against 617 in 2017. As many as 306 out of them have been new entrants. The Total Wealth of 831 Individuals is about USD 719 billion, which is 1/4 of the India's GDP (USD 2,848 billion).
Among the Cities, Mumbai tops the Rich List with 233 Super-Rich Individuals. While 163 Individuals based in Delhi featured on the list, It's 70-odd from IT Capital Bengaluru.
