Nandyal by-poll: 25% Completed - 80% Expected!

Voters of Nandyal rushed to the 255 Polling Booth from 7 AM itself as this by-poll is seen as a Semi Final for 2019 General Elections. Huge number of People have been voluntarily coming to cast their votes. At the Goppadu Polling Booth, Newly Married Couple had come in silk clothes to vote. It's a clear sign of high polling percentage.
Election Officer Prasanna Venkat declared 25 percent has been recorded by 10 AM. About 18,991 Men and 18,245 Women have exercised their right to vote. Officials have been expecting more than 80 percent polling in this by-election.
YCP Candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy came to the polling booth along his Family Members. He expressed his happiness over peaceful polling but doubted that situation might change after 11 AM.
Polling in NGO Colony has been stopped due to non-functional EVMs. Voters felt discomfort as EVMs haven't worked properly since 7 AM. EC Officials have rushed to the 94th Polling Booth to address the issue. Polling Booths have been monitored from Nandyal Town Command Control Room.
