Did Prime Minister Narendra Modi propose the name of LK Advani as the next President of India? Finally, NaMo seems to have decided to offer a post that suits the stature of Senior Most Party Leader.

As per reliable sources, PM Modi has offered President Of India post to LK Advani to show gratitude for his Political Guru.

LK Advani began his political career as a volunteer of RSS. He was the Union Home Minister from 1998 to 2004. He, however, was sidelined by Modi citing 'Above 75' rule after 2014 General Elections. Now, PM is going to put the criticism to rest by nominating Advani as next President.

After the landslide victory in Uttar Pradesh, BJP would improve its strength in Rajya Sabha by 10 more seats in 2018. In the Upper House, 123 Seats is required for the majority. Currently, BJP & its Allies hold 75 Seats. Next year, Polls will be held for 68 Rajya Sabha seats. Out of them, 10 Seats will be from UP and Uttarakhand. Remaining 58 Seats will be from Delhi, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, AP, Haryana, Karnataka, Bihar, Gujarat, Telangana, Rajasthan, Odisha, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Haryana and Sikkim. Even the tenure of nominated Rajya Sabha seats held by Sachin Tendulkar and Rekha will be ending next year. So, Four Members could nominated to Rajya Sabha in President's Quota. These MPs will be backing the Ruling Party in the Upper House. Which means, NDA will be able to pass bills in Rajya Sabha without much trouble in future.
