Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu offered Rs 15 lakh to Mountaineer P Neelima towards financial aid for expedition to Mount Everest.
Neelima is a native of Turakapalem in Guntur district. The software professional's last expedition to Mount Everest failed due to devastating Nepal earthquake. However, She hasn't given up the mission and preparing for expedition to Everest in April next year. The sole aim of Neelima is to emerge as the first woman in residual Andhra Pradesh to reach Mount Everest.
Neelima's expedition to 6150 metre high mountain in Jammu Kashmir was successful and she emerged as the first woman in Telugu states to achieve this feat.
