Nikki Haley is all set to resign as US Ambassador to the United Nations. This high-profile resignation was a big surprise for many.
Donald Trump opined Nikki Haley is a fantastic person and she has done an incredible job. He told Nikki choose to resign as she wishes to take a little time off.
Ivanka Trump told Ambassador Haley has served America with dignity and distinction. 'She is a bold reformer and has been an unwavering champion of truth, principled realism and integrity within the United Nations. Jared and I are grateful for her friendship - a true blessing in our lives! I know that the President will nominate a formidable replacement for Ambassador Haley. That replacement will not be me,' says President's Daughter.
On her resignation, Nikki Haley told one has to be selfless enough to know when he/she should step aside and allow someone else to do the job.
Nikki Haley's Parents hail from Punjab but they got settled in America. Her Husband Michael is an US Army Officer. In 2010 and 2014, Nikki Haley was elected as South Carolina Governor. She was appointed as US Ambassador for UN in January 2017. America-North Korea dispute was handled very well by her.
