Defence Ministry get a Makeover

Soon after taking charge as Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman announced she is going to be available 24*7, focus on long-pending issues and strengthen the Indian Armed Forces. She is making remarkable changes in the Ministry within days after taking charge.
Nirmala Sitharaman decided to have review meetings with the Chiefs of Army, Air Force and Navy daily morning to take quick decisions when required. She will also have a separate meeting Defence Secretary on daily basis.
The Defence Acquisition Council, which have full powers on defense procurement, will meet every fortnight to proposals of military acquisition in a time-bound manner.
Since September 7th, Nirmala Sitharaman held various meetings and it shows she is spending time to know every important detail. Defence Minister is focusing on all long pending land-related issues for Infrastructure projects, welfare of defense personnel and their families.
