No MLA seat, but deputy CM post for Kodanda?

The Congress has come forward with something very innovative while dealing with Telangana Jana Samithi chief Prof. Kodandaram. Though the seat-sharing between the Congress and the TJS is yet to reach the final stages, the Congress strongly feels that his party cannot be given more seats as it lacks organizational structure and popular faces. The only popular face in the party is the Professor himself.

Kodandaram is known across the state and has contacts everywhere due to his being the chairperson of the Telangana Joint Action Committee that spearheaded the Telangana movement. He perhaps is the only Telangana leader who has not got any position of power after the formation of Telangana. As a result, there is great sympathy for him. So, the Congress wants to give him an important place, but at the same time reduce the number of seats given to his party. The Congress has offered two to three seats to the TJS. In lieu for this sacrifice, Kodanda will be made the chairperson of the Congress-led alliance and would be made thedeputy chief minister if the Congress alliance forms the Government.

Well! One has to wait and see how Kodanda reacts. As of now, this seems to be the best available option for him!!
