Former President Abdul Kalam hasn't left behind any will. All he did was asking his elder brother (Muthu Meeran Labbai Marakier) to look after the small piece of land, given to him by his father, he owns near his house in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.

Abdul Kalam's ancestral home in Rameswaram have a museum in the first floor and the family runs a small business in the second floor.

Kalam have the habit of sending Rs 1.10 lakh per year for the 'Porridge', which will be given in the Mosque during the Ramzan period. During the Ramzan month this year, Kalam sent money to all of his family members from his Pension.

Sources say, Abdul Kalam ancestors used to own enormous property. Most of the property has been sold to maintain the family and expenses of the Mohaindeen Andavar mosque located near Kalam's ancestral home.
