No Permission For Rahul Meet In Osmania University

Is the TRS getting more and more jittery at Rahul Gandhi's Hyderabad tour? Is it afraid that his tour of Osmania University could spur more student activism and could help mobilize public opinion against the TRS. This could affect the TRS in the 2019 election. So, permission has been denied for Rahul Gandhi to hold his interaction with the students in Osmania University. The vice- chancellor of the university has denied the permission citing law and order problems.
Interestingly, the students of Osmania University are miffed with the TRS, especially with KCR, who had promised them jobs but had backtracked later. The anger was so much that he could not give a speech when President Pranab Mukherjee visited the university. After becoming the CM, KCR had not visited the university even once. Except during the President's visit.
Now, the Congress has decided to approach the court to get relief. PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy said that they would seek the intervention of the court on the issue of according permission to the programme.
