Om Puri passes away

Veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri breathed his last at the age of 66. He suffered a heart attack at his residence in Mumbai on Friday morning.
.Apparently, Om Puri came back to home on Thursday evening after completion of film shoot. His Driver grew suspicious on Friday morning when there was no response from inside despite pressing the door bell repeatedly. That's when everyone came to know that he is no more
Actress Shabana Azmi informs postmortem was conducted for mortal remains of Om Puri at the Cooper Hospital. She adds, Om Puri's body will be brought to Trishul around 3 PM. Funeral will happen at Oshiwara electric crematorium at 6 PM.
Om Puri was born on October 18th, 1950. He was a recipient of two National Awards and seven Filmfare Awards. He acted in few Hollywood films apart from regional languages in India. In 1990, Indian Government awarded him Padma Shri for his service to the film industry.
In Personal Life, Om Puri has seen many ups & downs. His first marriage with Actor Annu Kapoor's sister Seema Kapoor in 1991 lasted only for 8 months. He married Journalist Nandita Puri in 1993 and they even had a son Ishaan. Nandita penned Om Puri's biography 'Unlikely Hero' in 2009.
