Telangana Government issued a new GO raising the upper age limit for recruitment of employees in state-run departments to 44 years from existing 34. This new rule applies for one year since the GO for various Government Jobs was issued to conduct the recruitment tests for Telangana State Public Commission (TPSC).

The major reason behind Telangana movement is unemployment. So, The TRS Government has decided to recruit educated youth directly in various government departments and fill the vacancies at the earliest. Unemployed Youth in the 10 Districts of Telangana were delighted with latest development and they are thankful to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

However, The newly introduced Upper Age Limit don't apply for direct recruitment to the posts of Uniformed Services like police, excise, forest, prison, fire departments. Posts like these demand physical fitness and hence they are exempted.
