Own 4-Room Home, Car & AC? No Welfare Schemes!

As per the recommendation of a Government Panel, Those residents who have a 4-Room House or Four Wheeler or Air Conditioner or All the 3 Goods (Two Wheeler, Washing Machine, Refrigerator) aren't entitled to receive the benefits of Welfare Schemes anymore. Government-appointed Bibek Debroy Committee for implementation of Socio Economic Survey has made these recommendations.
Every 6 out of 10 Households in Urban Areas will be eligible for assessment to figure out if they deserve Welfare Schemes as per the new parameters. Households will be ranked on a basis of an index score on a scale of 0 to 12.
List of Beneficiaries will be automatically included based on the residential, occupational and social deprivation parameters. People who are homeless or Having a house with polythene wall or roof and Lacks Income or Adult Male gets included in beneficiaries list.
In 2012, Centre turned down the report of SR Hashim Committee which opined 41% households in Urban Areas are eligible for assessment to find out whether they are eligible for benefits of Government Schemes. Now, The Bibek Debroy Panel sought assessment of 59% of households in Urban Areas to find if they fall in BPL category or not.
