Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue near Sardar Sarovar dam on the Narmada river in Gujarat was a dream project of PM Narendra Modi. This 182-metre tall 'Statue of Unity' will be inaugurated on October 31st, to coincide with the 143rd birth anniversary of India's first home minister. As much as Rs 3,000 crore was spent for this monument of 'Iron Man of India'.

Now, BJP is getting ready to establish yet another giant statue. This time it's going to be the idol of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya who is the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh and RSS Ideologue. Uttar Pradesh Government has begun the work of this monument in PM Modi's Varanasi constituency.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya statue will be placed on a 40-feet high, so that this 60-feet statue could rise up to 100-feet and becomes the tallest structure in Varanasi. Steel Framework and Inner Iron Tower is being preferred to make it sustain challenging weather conditions.

How could Modi and BJP Leaders justify spending thousands of crore for statues? Are they using their hard-earned money for these structures?
