Defence Minister Arun Jaitley informed Parliament that Pakistan has increased attempts to push Terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir through the border. He, however, maintains Indian Army's domination is unchallenged at the border.

Arun Jaitley told there are 285 incidents of ceasefire violation along LoC so far in 2017. Whereas, Total number of such violation in 2016 are just 228. He said there are more number of casualties on either side.

Indian Army has come up with Anti-Infiltration Obstacle System (AIOS) along LoC and this measure has minimized the infiltration at the International Border. Constant vigil by the security forces has foiled many infiltration attempts by terrorists.

Jaitley informed measures have been taken to modernize Indian Defence Forces. 'Upgrading to technological advancements, hiring new equipment and offering appropriate training is being given utmost importance to handle tough challenges,' he added.

On the other hand, China is trying to use the rivalry between India and Pakistan in it's favour. It is extending help to Pak for constructing 6 dams in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These dams will come over Sindhu River, which is one of the biggest rivers in Asia.
