A bizarre error leading to the drop in cabin pressure caused severe inconvenience to 166 passengers of a Jet Airways Mumbai-Jaipur Flight.
Reportedly, Crew of the Jet Airways flight 9W 697 forgot to press the switch which regulates cabin air pressure. More than 30 passengers suffered nose/ear bleed and several others had headaches. The flight was redirected to Mumbai where emergency landing took place. Doctors offered First Aid to the passengers at the airport terminal soon after the landing. Five of the passengers were rushed to the hospital.
Video shared by a Passenger shows Oxygen Masks falling from the overhead compartments. Passengers were found in a tense mood.
Directorate General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ordered for a probe into the unusual incident. An Official told Crew forgot to press the bleed switch, which maintains cabin pressure, during the take off.
